1. Don’t miss their Advent Calendar for sewists!
Oh yes you heard us! On Friday 12th October at 9am Sewing Quarter are releasing their much anticipated Advent Calendar, especially for sewists! Full of fun and functional gifts for makers of all abilities, this is topping our Christmas list!
2. Shop the latest issue of Simply Sewing magazine
The Sewing Quarter team don’t just make awesome TV shows… their website also hosts our online store, stocked up with all our latest issues of Simply Sewing magazine. This is the place to go to grab a copy of the latest issue or catch up with recent patterns in our Pattern Store that you’ve missed out on. We add each new issue on the day it comes out so add this page to your bookmarks to check you never miss an issue again!

Each issue we select a few of our favourite projects to appear live on Sewing Quarter TV, and their clever team turn them into project kits containing everything you need to bring our instructions to life on your sewing table!

5. Coming up on air
Last but not least, we cannot recommend enough checking out the Sewing Quarter live TV shows. They feature some of our favourite sewists in the industry, plus quite a few of our contributors and designers, with big names this year including Jennifer Taylor (main image in this post) and Charlotte Newland (Great British Sewing Bee winner), Kaffe Fassett, Anna Maria Horner and Tula Pink. Starting your Sunday off in style at 8am as Jane demos her popular folded star technique, then at 10am she’s back with the curvy windmill quilt.
- Tuesday 16 October: Learn bag making & get festive with Victoria Peat
Victoria will be demoing a bag from the new to air book Sew Beautiful Quilted Bags, then she’s bringing a touch of Christmas with her popular reindeer appliqué quilt! She’ll be showing viewers how to transform the template onto a cushion or sack

Jules is back to show you two perfect winter patterns – her versatile Bianca coat and wide-leg Portia trousers.
- Wednesday 17 October: Lucy Brennan
On the same day as Jules’ winter wardrobe updates, one of our favourite modern quilt designers, Lucy Brennan, joins the Sewing Quarter team to show you how to striking red and white Christmas quilt, then she’ll bee returning later that morning to launch Sewing Quarter’s new Guess How Much I Love You fabric range, with a super-sweet quilt that children will love.
