We’re marking the start of World Craft Week today by issuing you with a sewing challenge! Tackle your scraps stash with our #stashbusters challenge. You could win daily prizes and we’ll be sharing our team makes throughout the week!
As World Craft Week kicks off today, we’re showing our support with a fun way for you to sew along from home and raise awareness for Bliss (the charity that supports premature and ill babies) while you’re at it.
Ready to sew that stash? Join our challenge
We’re launching our #stashbuster challenge today. All you have to do is make something this week using scraps from your stash, then share a photo on your Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account with the hashtags #stashbusters #worldcraftweek and #Craft4Bliss.
If you’re not sure you’ll have time to make something from scratch, never fear! Do you have a favourite project from recent months that would be a perfect way to use up smaller pieces of fabric to inspire others for their own stash-busting efforts? We’d love to see! Share a photo and add the challenge hashtags above.
- We’ll be sharing our own team makes as the week goes on over on our Facebook and Instagram feeds.
- We’ve got daily prizes to tempt you too! Here on the Simply Sewing team we’ve each hand-picked a bundle of sewing supplies. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one is share your scrapbusting photo today! Winners and bundles will be chosen at random at the end of World Craft Week.
Donate to Bliss today!
If you’re able to, why not make a donation to Bliss when you share your project? You can donate online at www.bliss.org.uk/craft4bliss or text MAKE14 followed why the amount to 70070 – for example MAKE14£10.
Sewing for babies?
If all this sewing for Bliss has got you in the mood to sew some baby gifts, we’ll be sharing projects, patterns and fabrics to try here on the blog all week.
