DIY fabric-covered Christmas letters

DIY fabric letters

We’re loving this idea from Simply Christmas magazine for raiding your fabric stash to make quick DIY decorations! It’s a great way to make the most of those festive fabric scraps that stay in your sewing corner all year round: now you can rescue them from your craft cupboard and show them off as a centre piece for your Christmas décor this year. So if you’re looking for easy sewing projects to decorate your home, give it a go today!

Fancy getting festive and giving it a go?

These letters don’t technically involve any sewing, but they still satisfy our fabric-cravings and we hate to waste even the smallest of scraps. Simply cover papier mache letters with fabric pieces using PVA and mount on to a wood backdrop. TA DA! If you can’t resist the urge to add stitches, why not embroider or appliqué some extra details to add a textured twist?
