You will need

  • Main bag fabric: 100x112cm (40x44in)
  • Lining fabric: 100x112cm (40x44in)
  • Contrast fabric: 50x112cm (20x44in)
  • Pocket lining fabric: 60x112cm (24x44in)
  • Iron-on wadding: 110x90cm (43x35in)
  • Iron-on interfacing: 40x90cm (16x35in)
  • Zip: 56cm (22in), for the top of the bag
  • Three zips: 18cm (7in), for the pockets
  • Two press fasteners
  • Plastic canvas: 6x31cm (23/8×121/4in), to reinforce the base
  • Three assorted beads with a large centre hole
  • Cotton yarn, for tassel
  • Scraps of ribbon and beads
  • Matching thread
  • Strong glue
  • Basic sewing kit
